Churches

There are so many ancient churches in the UK, that sometimes we forget what a remarkable treasure trove of art and history they contain. I’ll be writing regularly about churches in Mists of Time, because I love the connection they provide with the craftsmen and women from our past.

Your photos are wonderful. I love the way the internet means we can have glimpses into lives and places it wouldn’t otherwise be possible to see. Thank you for visiting here.

Thank you! Churches for me are like small galleries, featuring the work of artists from bygone eras – and of course there are always the quirky things, such as wooden effigies or pagan symbolism. Really they should have a blog of their own. I hope you’ll come back and have a look around again some time.
